History
Beginning in 1998 under the name Decline Of Day, Meet The Mountain is an experiment in genre-fusion gone awry. This project is 98.4% pure software sequencing and will probably be most enjoyed by progressive music fanatics and total assholes/weirdos.

Volume I: Of And Not By (The Negative and The Uninspired, LP)
This record technically isn't a DOD record, although it might as well be due to the influence and the timeframe it was created in. Robert Hofmann contributed not only engineering and general composition, but improvised performances including the theremin, electric and acoustic guitar/bass, keys, flute, melodian and piano. In a departure from traditional DOD style, Johne added a large vocal presence in addition to his sequencing, acoustic guitar, etc. The download for this record includes photos, cover art, reviews and misc. information about the short-lived, Germany based project.

The Heavy (LP)
Released December 4th, 2005. This record (12 tracks) had actually been independently in the works for nearly four years (under various names) and represents the most solid view of what the original sound of this project was like. Some of the tracks even have roots as far back as 1998. Written / sequenced by Johne.

2. Haiku
3. Self Destruct
4. Stand Tall
5. The Politics of Dreaming

Walls Such as Air and Space (LP)
Released on June 26th 2005, this record is composed of 11 tracks -- five of which are borrowed and updated versions of The Valley Of Lovers EP. Written entirely while staying in Germany, there is a huge presence of synth guitar and piano on this album; a departure from the original core sound of Decline Of Day. Written / sequenced by Johne.

The Valley Of Lovers (EP)
Released originally on June 7th 2005 after a three week writing / recording session in May whilst inspired by the Katharina Forchel painting of the same name. All 5 tracks were later remixed and renamed for the Walls... LP. This record is now out of print with about 10-15 copies floating around containing these versions of the songs (which aren't all that different). For obvious reasons, this EP is not immediately downloadable. Written / sequenced by Johne.

1. Part I
2. Part II
3. Part III
4. Part IV
5. Part V

The Empty (LP)
Released originally in 2004, and then again on June 10th 2005. 11 Tracks. This record was written with a sense of minimalism and tends to come off much darker and hollow than other early DOD material. As with ERROR, this record was also mixed through a big, shitty PA and has been left in its original state. Written / sequenced by Johne.

1. Memories Fall Apart
2. Complete the Circle
3. Breathe Behind the Rope
4. The Moment Of Goodbye
5. Apology
6. Pterodactyl

ERROR (LP)
Released originally in 2004, and then again on June 10th 2005. 13 Tracks, several written before 2000. The mix quality on this record isn't quite up to par because it was done through a 400watt PA. The decision was made not to remix the record in order to preserve the original sound. Written / sequenced by Johne.
